The exhibition building and the outdoor area can be explored with a wheelchair, walker or pram without any obstacles. The historical museum building, the House of Collections, is also disabled-accessible apart from a few restrictions.
To help you plan your visit in advance, we’ve put together some information for you here. Please feel free to contact us if you have any suggestions or requests. We’ll try to take them into consideration.
The Müritzeum has been awarded the Travel for All label (Reisen für Alle) for accessibility. The nationwide certification scheme is run by the German Seminar for Tourisms Berlin (Deutsches Seminar für Tourismus [DSFT] Berlin e. V.).
Car Parking
There are two parking spaces for disabled visitors directly next to the House of 1,000 Lakes.

Both buildings have toilets for disabled visitors.
Lifts
The main building, the House of Collections and the restaurant are disabled-accessible.
Admission
Disabled visitors pay a reduced admission price – companions receive free admission.

Hire Service
You can hire a wheelchair, walker or pram free of charge for the duration of your visit (please note that a refundable deposit is payable ).
We offer interactive tours for visitors with learning or physical disabilities.
