About Us

Enthralling Together

As the NatureExperienceCentre with Germany’s largest aquarium landscape for native freshwater species, the Müritzeum in Waren (Müritz) is one of the leading experience worlds in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Interactive exhibition areas, enhanced with multimedia, allow everybody to experience the beautiful and special features of the Mecklenburg Lake Plateau and the Müritz National Park with its water worlds, animals and plants. Playful and entertaining, but also informative and educational – this sums up a visit to the Müritzeum at any time of year and for any age group.

The NatureExperienceCentre on Lake Müritz

The Müritzeum has welcomed visitors in the House of 1,000 Lakes since 2007. Its unique architecture is sure to pique the interest from afar. But the nature experience exhibition draws on a much older tradition. For more than 150 years, the State Natural History Collections for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have been preserved here.
